Daylight Savings???

Last week Grant asked me if I was going to change the clocks for daylight savings.  I jokingly replied no, I think we will just be an hour late to everything!  He realized I was joking and then I could see the wheels churning in his little head.  He looked at me and said maybe we could just not change the clocks for church!  Little did I know I would eat my words!
On Sunday we didn't change the clocks in the house and the kids kept asking us when are you going to change the clocks?  We would reply in a minute. We went out to visit the sick and afflicted on Sunday and Isabelle said could you please change the clock so I know what time it is. Annoyed I changed the clock in the car. This morning I woke up and got Isabelle ready for school.  We did the same routine and things were moving smoothly for a Monday morning.  I looked down at my watch and thought what are we forgetting she is ready ten minutes early with her teeth brushed and shoes on.  So I told Isabelle to get her coat on there is no reason why she can't be early to school and we packed up and got in the car ready for school.  On the drive to school it seemed quiet and I thought, leaving a few minutes early really puts us ahead of everyone else.  I drove some more and realized there wasn't even a bus around,   I glanced down at the clock in the car it read, 9:12.  Then I looked at my watch it said 8:12!  AHHHHHHHHH!!!  I said to Isabelle very calmly, "We are an hour late for school."  She looked at the clock in the car and said yep just take me to the office.  We giggled the whole way to school.  I'm still giggling.  I came home and told Grant we really were going to be an hour late to everything.  He laughed and then said, "now, could you please change the clocks so I'm not and hour late to school?"

Sharp kids! Daylight savings time is driving our boys crazy. They still get up at seven, but they stay awake an hour longer. I don't get it at all.
