Halloween!

This year for Halloween I tried to get my kids to try something new, and they were up for the challenge! I also tried to get them to make the costume to save money, but I have decided sometimes making a costume is just as expensive. To really keep the cost down I suggest turning things you already have and making them into the costume. Grant's costume turned out great it was cost efficient and it was just cute. Grant was a green lego. I got the idea from Family Fun. Spray paint, a box, plastic cups, and black sweats. Easy! Will wanted to be Indiana Jones, or as he says it, "Dr. Jones". He was second in cost but right up there with Grant on the cuteness factor. I found the hat and whip on Amazon, and he worn his church pants and a white shirt. Isabelle broke out of the princess category this year and went as a witch. Her costume turned out cute, but expensive. I planned on a no sew (because I don't sew) dress I also found from Family Fun, but I was unsure of how much material we would need. The lady cutting the material just knew I needed a lot of fabric which turned out to be very expensive. She was happy with her cape Grandma Judy gave her, but the dress itched her and she didn't wear it on Halloween. They had a great time, and I was able to spend Halloween with my mom and celebrate her birthday. We were happy to have visitors this year!

I decided that next year you don't need to buy Isabelle a costume. Just do her hair and make the same way and she will be scary enough. Holy COW!
