I can count on one hand the times I received my own Easter Basket when I was younger. We always had a big Easter dinner and invited grandmas and grandpas and maybe some easter candy was around. It wasn't because we were anti-candy, but it was a reason I never knew until I was in the fourth grade. I went to a friend's house to stay the night and it was right after Easter. Her family had Easter baskets and I was feeling a little jipped. When I went home I asked my mom why we never got Easter baskets. She explained to me that she believed Easter was one of the most important holidays and she felt the Easter Bunny would take away from the spirit of the holiday. Somehow at such a young age I understood that, and I was ok with her explanation. This had to be one of the first experiences I had that helped me understand the atonement. I'm glad she taught me that lesson and will forever be grateful to her.
I have wanted to post this song for a year now. I finally used the iMovie on my computer! Not sure why I didn't think of it sooner! My husband and his brother Dean (who is singing the song) wrote this song and their talented friend, Chad Barker arranged it. Oh ya, and the more talented Danny Milfieth recorded it for them. I think it is a beautiful song and so appropriate for this time of year. I hope you enjoy it. Tell them what you think. Happy Easter.
*I got most of the pictures from my gospel art kit and pictures I had around the house.
