Surprise! Surprise!

Monday night the Leavitt family was invited out to Grandma Elouise and Aunt Kristine's house for a "special" family home evening.  We all love to go out Thomas, ID and enjoy the peace and serenity that it offers.  They live on a huge corner lot and they recently added a porch and deck that makes it more enjoyable to sit and relax.  Grant's favorite thing to do is to swing in the tire swing and he told me that was all he wanted to do, and it was the first thing he did too.  He nearly jumped out of the car to get to the swing!  To add to our enjoyment they purchased some new outside toys.  Jump ropes, skate boards, tricycles, baseballs and bats, and what we called the hamster wheel.  The kids loved all the toys and so did some of the adults!  A game of baseball quickly broke out.   It was the ideal summer evening! I was sitting at the dinner table enjoying the great food when in walked my dad and Jan and I thought that was a little weird!  So Dean pipes up and says if you haven't guessed it, and I hadn't, this night is all for you.  Danny had plotted with Wende to throw a baby shower.  I really was surprised and had to hold back tears because it was a little overwhelming too.  Everyone was so kind and spoiled the new baby with great things.  They even spoiled me by chipping in for a new exercise stroller called a  bob stroller.  I am still speechless.  I can't believe Danny actually pulled off a surprise without me guessing.  I usually guess what he is plotting, but nope not this time!!  Good job Danny!  Thank you to everyone who was involved.  I am truly grateful.
