When I was younger I had beautiful long brown hair. My mom always had it braided or combed so it looked nice. Once I got to school I noticed that other girls had bangs so I begged my mom to cut bangs, and in the second grade I remember going to my grandmas and she cut bangs in my hair. Well, that wasn't enough for me my hair was straight and I wanted curls, so my mom rolled my hair in pink foam curlers every Saturday night for church the next day. That wasn't enough for me either, in the third grade I wanted short curly hair. So after I begged and pleaded with my mom she took me to my grandma's house and she cut my hair short and permed me!! Now the table has turned and it is
my daughter asking me to cut her hair. Isabelle has wanted her hair cut since the beginning of the school year. At first I didn't know what to think. I was used to long hair, and it is pretty easy to just whip up a pony tail for school and short hair may take a few more steps! Isabelle knew exactly how short she wanted her hair, right to her shoulders. So after much discussion we decided to cut her hair and donate it to "Locks of Love" where they help kids who are financially disadvantaged and have a long term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. In my research I found out it takes 20 donations to make 1 wig for a child! Isabelle has so much hair maybe they may only need 18!! We both win in this situation, we feel good about the donation and Isabelle gets to show off her new hair!

Waiting for mom!!
